Eligibility: Ages 14+ recommended (depends on the individual centre’s policy)
Job Description
As a Kumon Centre Assistant, you’ll support student learning in math and reading, help grade worksheets, and assist the instructor in running the day-to-day activities of the centre. It’s a great first job for teens who enjoy working with children and are confident in school subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
Grade student work using answer books
Assist students during their sessions
Organize learning materials and homework
Greet parents and help with sign-in/out
Keep the classroom quiet and focused
Support the instructor with administrative tasks

Who Can Apply
Teens in high school or higher
Must be proficient in math and/or English
Friendly, respectful, responsible, and reliable
Available for after-school shifts (e.g. 3:30 PM–7:00 PM)
Some centres may prefer prior Kumon student experience (but it’s not always required)

Schedule
Part-time, 1–3 shifts per week
Most centres operate weekday afternoons and some weekends
Shifts range from 2–4 hours long
